There are extensive walking trails through over 200 acres of woodland,
a spring fed swimming pond and a larger pond with a dock for lazy boating.

There is also a clay tennis court and countless quiet corners for reading and reflection. For more pictures click here.

Hickory Hill is just outside the hamlet of Rensselaerville, an architectural gem, about 25 miles west of Albany.

Much of it was designed in the 1840's by a single architect, Ephraim Russ.

There are two Protestant churches, a community center, Conkling Hall, and a well stocked library and reading room.

A spectacular waterfall takes the oveflow from Lake Myosotis, and cascades down into the village.  Over the bridge and a quarter mile up the hill is Kuhar Farm Market and Café, open Wednesday evenings and Saturday lunchtime.
